Hey ya'll! I'm Meghan Ashley, LPC-S and I can't wait to see you in my next training course. I am an Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in Texas and I own M Perfect Consulting where I conduct Autism Assessments and therapy for Adults. I created a process for assessments that is informative for the client, streamlined for the clinician, and most importantly exactly what your clients are searching for when they are looking at diagnosis. The process I use is strength based, neuro-affirming, and useful for our clients to get the information about themselves that changes their lives.
This training on how I complete the Sensory and Accomodations Plan is pivotal for clinicians wanting to give the client more than what they expected from their assessment. The plan lays out how each client can adapt their lives to live more Autistic friendly and Neuroaffirming in all aspects. Clients report using this plan for years to come every time they enter a new chapter in their lives and need to re-evaluate their needs and how to get them met. This plan is the answer to the question "OK, so I'm Autistic. Now what?"
In this workshop you will....
- Learn how to write an accommodations letter with template for client's use at their discretion. (not to be confused with official paperwork from a psychologist. This letter lays out the accommodations a client would benefit from to be used with loved ones. If client chooses to take it to use it for school or work accommodations, they are aware that there is a chance it may not be accepted by the company)
- Learn how to write a 21+ page functional sensory and accommodation plan with individualized accommodations for adult Autistic clients.
- Learn to use information gathered during assessment or therapy for accommodation creation.
