Learn With Meghan!
Hey ya'll! I'm Meghan Ashley and I am an Autistic black woman and a therapist who specializes in adult autism and black women who are autistic.
I'm so glad you are here! If you are reading this then that means you are looking for some answers, am I right?
You want to know more about your Autism and yourself and you probably have a goal of doing better tomorrow than you are doing today. You may have been recently diagnosed as autistic as an adult and are confused about what this label means for you personally and how to integrate it into your sense of self. There is a process with adult autism diagnosis where you go from denial, to shock, to grief for all the times you suffered by not knowing how you were different, anger at all the adults around you who didn't know how to help you, and then you finally land on acceptance once you gain some knowledge about Autism and you.
This workshop is where the knowledge comes in. Autistic brains need information and a sense of understanding to move forward with an idea. If you don't yet understand Autism, then it will keep you from fully understanding what you want and need in your life. Let me help by introducing you to you.
You will leave with an understanding of.....
- What is Autism and how does it affect me?
- How it is different for black women
- Surviving to thriving with action steps
- How to get help and what kind of services actually help
- Fostering my Autistic identity from awareness to acceptance to appreciation
NOVEMBER 10th 11A-1P CST

"I was so burntout that I know a couch hated to see me coming! I couldn't seem to get myself together. My doctor told me that I need an Autism coach to help me after my diagnosis and she referred me to Meghan's course. It's been a year and I am still using the information I got from here about how to thrive autistically and I no longer feel so lost." - 39 year old participant

"The way Meghan explained things about Autism was so clear and easy to understand. I so appreciate what I learned in this course. I felt like I was back in school but the subject was me!" - 24 year old participant
Know better = Do better
"Meghan is so knowledgeable about Autism and the information really hit home for me. She really made the information relatable and I felt like she was speaking directly to what I had been struggling with since I got diagnosed. I kept saying 'so I'm Autistic. Ok, what do I do now?' and she answered the question for me and I am so grateful" -63 year old participant
